What is Lesbisk Makt?
Lesbisk Makt (Lesbian Power) is a non profit organisation that was founded in November 2013. The purpose of the organisation is to broaden the understanding of the term "lesbian" and to create and perserve lesbian culture and history in all of Sweden. We do this by creating lesbian meeting places, activities, events and networks.
Lesbisk Makt is a member organisation, which means that the members are the organisation. As a member you can be part of arranging events and meeting places by joining one of our organizer groups or start a new group. You can also just come to events, or just support the organisation by your membership.
Everyone who are lesbian or interested in lesbianism and define as women, non binary and/or trans can be members and are welcome to the organisations meeting places and activities.
Lesbisk Makt is funded by organisation grants from Swedish Agency for Youth and Civil Society and the Swedish Gender Equality Agency. We also have project grants, for example from The general heritage fund.

What does Lesbisk Makt want?
We want to create a strong lesbian movement.
We want to map and make lesbianism visible at all times, everywhere.
We want to set lesbian thoughts and feelings in motion in everyone.
We want lesbianism to stop being a solitary project - lesbianism can be a movement - a community!
Why that?
We want the world to become more lesbian.
We want more people to discover/see lesbianism in the world and in themselves.
We want to create lesbian meeting places.
We want to collect lesbian history so that it is not lost.
Who is the organisation for?
Anyone who is lesbian or interested in lesbianism and who identifies as women, non-binary and/or has trans*experiences is welcome to join.
What is lesbian?
Lesbian may be your identity, or you identify as something else but like to do lesbian things sometimes, or you want to be or do lesbian in the future.
